He survived!
Thank you to the few people who came by to see him...he needed it! Thank you Dawn for bringing us food and coffee!

I have a small update on Skylar’s tumor. After being to 3 doctors that could not tell us anything, we are dealing with an oral surgeon now that is the top man at Children’s Hospital for facial deformities and whatnot. He got a biopsy on Tuesday. I figured he needed his mom for this so I had John work for me at the Chinese factory. I kind of regret that decision. They sedated him with Ketamine. I have to say he was very brave for the IV…he really showed me up J. It was done quickly then they tried to get him an Xray. After positioning him in the wheelchair, he starts puking blood. I nearly went down and had to step away. He looked so dazed and kept fumbling his fingers into his mouth to remove the gauze. It was really gross and the whole thing was freaking me out. I have never seen him so out of it. I really wish they had just let him lie in a room for a half hour or so until he gained more consciousness but no. They rushed him out and he puked again in front of the elevators then again while trying to get him in the car. He was white as a ghost and just lied in the backseat on the ride home. I realized I could not carry him up the stairs so I desperately ran from neighbors’ house to house trying to get help but no one was answering. Thankfully he was able to stumble up the stairs with my help then into his room where he puked all over the floor then into a bucket then crashed in bed. Ugh, it was rough.
I had to go pick up John from work and run a couple errands and Sky was awake by then and feeling better. He said he would stay there with his cell phone if he needed us. We get back and he’s not in the livingroom playing video games where I left him. He wasn’t in his room. John checked in the computer room, no kid. He was not in the house! John started going off about him wandering the neighborhood in a “K-hole” maybe begging for change or something. Ok, we had to laugh about it a little, we have that sense of humor. I started freaking out and called his phone. He answers and says he’s at his friend’s house down the street and “can he come over?”. NO! I told him to get his ass home and since he was feeling that good, he could get dressed for Kung Fu now. Mean mom I am. Of course he didn’t work out but he led the class. Kids!
The pathology won’t be back for several days then we will schedule the surgery. What we know now is that it is most likely benign but has destroyed a good portion of his jawbone so possible reconstruction of his jaw will need to be done.
I have some good news finally. While we were in the waiting room, I got a call from a job I interviewed for and they offered it to me! Yay! Obviously I don’t head the numerous signs to turn off cell phones. A 5th job might be just what we need to get back on track financially. Funny how 3 jobs can’t replace what I made before. I will be a receptionist at a hand surgery clinic on a part time basis but what I would make there in a day is what I make at the Chinese factory in a whole week of work. If it becomes too much, I will drop the lesser job.
