Snow...finally!

We finally got a decent snow. It was still only about 2" but it was sleddable before the freezing rain/sleet hit. Actually that just made it a faster and more dangerous run, always good. It came at a most inconvenient time. I had had John work for me so I wouldn't be so tired for class so he just picked up Sky early from school so the poor kid didn't get stuck on a 2 hour bus ride home again. I watched the news with the scrolling closings and waited and waited and waited until...Yes! My school was closing at 4pm so I wouldn't have class. Whoohoo! Then Kung Fu came in closed then the dance theatre so Sky was free and clear for the night too. You know what that meant? Yep, time to get in some sledding before it got dark. Boy, after the rough week we had last week, we needed a relaxed evening.

They have already closed Sky's school for tomorrow since it will be sleeting all night although he does not know because he's asleep. Both John and I work tomorrow so I guess I will have to take Sky into my work and hope I won't get bitched at for it. He can sit and play his video games at the crew table during the lunch rush if there is one...might be slow. Slow means no money so hopefully people will brave the ice and cold and I hope the college is in session.

We lost a kitty, Tommy died. It sucked and I miss him. The City of Cincinnati tried to send me to jail. We got threatened with eviction. Skylar has some sort of a tumor in his lower jawbone. It is about the size of a superball from looking at the Xray. It needs to be removed surgically and possible reconstruction of his jaw. We don't know if it's malignant or benign yet or really what the fuck it is. Everyone seems baffled and we are currently awaiting CT results to know what happens next. Yeah, we're freaking out. So, there is an awesome week in a nutshell. I think I was about 1 more piece of bad news and I was committing myself. I had gotten myself off of Valium but now I'm back on full force. Good news is I lost 6 lbs in one week from stress and not eating.

...but, I'm sure everything will get better eventually and at least this week has been a little bit less stressful. I am enjoying the snow, the lunar eclipse rocked and Sky is invited to Dawn's son's birthday party this weekend at Perfect North Slopes and she left a couple adult spots for us! Yay, Dawn rocks too!
