Ahhhh, how nice...
This weekend was very relaxing. With all the stress of the huge amount of taxes we owe and the added bonus of not getting paid for almost 2 months yet having twice as much work, it’s really getting to me. I needed some time to do nothing and not think about financial shit.
All in all, I really didn’t do a damn thing besides take Sky to his bowling league and his chess class on Saturday. Seriously, I think I sat and watched Keith change the brake pads on his daughter’s car for a good hour on Sunday. FunkyB and his new roommate came by both Friday and Saturday nights. FunkyB got a new car because his died up in
Sky was sick most of the weekend so we ended up leaving him home with Mary Jo while we bowled our league games since Mary Jo and Keith were making up their games today because they didn’t want to bowl the asshole team they were facing. The team we were facing was absent too so we don’t know if we won or not.
Oh, I did get some yard work done…I didn’t stare at the wall the whole weekend. I was too lazy to even get my camera and take photos of Sue & Ryan’s new baby…I’ll get one soon though and he’s a cutie.

We're next!
Our street is experiencing a rash of home robberies. 4 in 2 weeks and Mary Jo and Keith got hit last night when we were at bowling league. The person (we think it was just one based on certain facts) came in through a bedroom window and snagged their laptops and not much else. Well they also got keys to their car and someone else’s house. In all cases, they take keys, coins and small electronics like cameras and laptops. A neighbor saw a guy coming out from behind their house with a garbage bag about the same time. In another case, someone was home and scared the person/people off and the mailman saw a dude running down our street that doesn’t live here. The other was the “Joes” on a day I think we were at the skatepark. All these are in daylight pretty much. We are next in line. They could have already tried for all we know. Kali does bark at strange noises and our house isn’t exactly easy to get into but we’ve added a “Beware of Dog” sign and some of the other neighbors are adding security features such as cameras and such. It just so happens though that there’s a new neighbor on the other street that started waving at us as we drive by lately. Now you would think “oh just a friendly guy” but Keith invited him over last week for a meeting type thing and Mary Jo investigated him on the internet and he’s got a rap sheet a mile long for robbery and mentioned being somewhere for awhile where he memorized the Old Testament…would that be, say, prison? There’s a lot of Bible studying in there and he mentioned that they won’t be living here long. Not to point fingers but all seem to be pointing to him. Everyone’s pretty freaked out and I am now sleeping with a weapon and backing up my hard drive.
In the world of orthodontics I am now purple with only a powerchain on the bottom (to close those pesky gaps) and regular ligs on top. I got stepped up in the elastic department to Sea Lion which is a smaller, thicker one to get my stubborn midline into line. I noticed my front teeth aren’t the same length but Dr.I said since they are even on the gumline, he will just shape them when all is said and done.

Profile
Tommy showing off his handsome profile
We scored the newest Anonymous skate DVD and Sky scored a free pair of skate shoes. Guess it pays to schmooze sometimes. Mau is excited because the new Delhi park is almost done. We heard through the grapevine (the same grapevine that is handing us free stuff) that it is due for completion in 2 weeks and some demos will surround that date. This is good news because it's so close to us. Most other parks are a drive to another state, not like that's that far but will be nice to have something 5 minutes away.

You asked for videos?
Well even if you didn't, here it is! Sky dropping in on the miniramp at Ollie's in KY, filmed and edited by Mau with Sky's choice of music. He has done it before 2 years ago but was assisted slightly, this time is all him.
In more Sky news, he bowled in the Pepsi district tournament on Sunday. He bowled pretty good but we won't know if he made it to the state level for about 2 weeks.
Saturday night we broke all the parental rules and took Sky to a bar. Ok, it was an all ages premiere of a local skate video but it was at a bar. There were some other kids Sky's age so they hung out and had fun dancing to the DJ, well it was mostly Sky dancing. He even got some drunk woman into it and showed off his jazz moves he's been learning...it was kind of crazy to see him actually freestyle dancing. Unfortunately, due to drunk idiots organizing this affair, it took them 2 hours to finally show it and by that time all the young kids had had enough and Sky had his tournament the next morning so we had to leave. It was fun though...Sky picked up some older women, we did a little drinking and I ran into my poker buddy, Jack.
