It ends with a R.I.P....don't say I didn't warn you.
Tami did the Easter egg hunt on Saturday instead of Sunday which made it a busy day. Sky bowls in the morning then we went straight to Tami's since Mau had to work. Sky stayed there and Melissa brought him home later on. There was only one crying incident when Damien hit his knee on a rock and dumped his basket of eggs but it was brief. It will go down in history as the first Easter with no crying kids.
We had THE BEST day weather-wise yesterday. It was so nice the news reported the local zoo had over 10,000 visitors (a comparison being only 300 visitors 2 days before with it being spring break) and the park by our house was packed. Advantage was taken in the form of a morning basketball game with Mau and digging the bike out of the basement for a ride with the kids. Kali usually barks once to come back inside after doing her business but 2 hours went by and I jumped up "OMG, I forgot about the dog!". I threw open the door to find her asleep in the sun. She gave me a look like "Do I HAVE to come in?". So anyways, THE BEST day weather-wise. Refreshing.
On a totally opposite note...Our neighbor's daughter, Danni, was born with only half of her brain. I am not sure of the details since I feel like an ass for asking. What I do know is she was not given a life expectancy at birth but generally people with this condition do not live past 2 yrs. Danni is 20 but in a wheelchair, cannot communicate by talking, and has to be fed and cared for 24/7. Today Skylar told me he had to be nice to Danni's brother (Sky's friend) because "Danni stopped breathing and might go to heaven.". I was like "OMG, who told you that?" and he stated his other friend's father did. Another of his friends confirms this. Now, I am not going to believe two 7 yr olds without confirmation from an adult. A call was put in to Mary Jo who said Danni had died at 2pm yesterday. Mau & I just stared at each other for a good 5 minutes before we both said at the same time "I don't want to cry.". It's so fucking sad I can barely take it. Mau is taking this news especially hard since he really liked her and she would always get so excited whenever he would talk to her...he would get a kick out of her wiggling in her chair and laughing when he would talk about football to her. I took over a plant today and talked with her mother for a bit. It was terribly hard, especially when I saw the look on one of her other kids' face.
